Response of Sugarcane Cultivars to Different Irrigation Regime under Peninsular Zone of Maharashtra, India

A field experiment was conducted during the years 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 suru seasons with eight sugarcane cultivars two irrigation regimes were evaluated in strip plot design three replications. The impact of water stress on various morphological characters such as plant height, leaf area, area index tiller count recorded at 0.3 1.0 IW/CPE regime. Drought treatment caused an average reduction 11.10, 33.47, 29.08, 15.33, 22.14 18.78 % index, specific weight, dry matter, root matter 200 DAP cane yield respectively. Cultivar VSI 08005 CoM 0265 transpired less showed relatively higher photosynthetic rate significant improvement growth attributes, viz., accumulation weight well single yield. Yield its parameters remarkable changes due to inadequate availability formative phase. Water led a sugar tune 23.00 29.05 percent.
